I found this recipe in the Allrecipes magazine and knew I had to make it. I just love anything strawberry.

Ingredients For strawberry bread

  • 3 c
    fresh strawberries/sliced
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 3 c
    flour
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 Tbsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 3 lg
    eggs
  • 1 c
    vegetable oil
  • 1 c
    chopped pecans

How To Make strawberry bread

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour two, 9 x 5 loaf pans.

    Put strawberries in bowl and sprinkle with one teaspoon sugar. Toss to coat.

    Stir together flour, remaining sugar, baking soda, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Whisk eggs in another bowl

    Then stir in oil and pour over strawberries. Fold strawberry mixture into flour mixture until dry ingredients are just moistened. Fold in pecans.

    Divide batter between prepared pans, about 3 cups per pan.

    Bake until toothpicks inserted in center, comes out clean, 45 to 55 minutes.

    Let cool in pans, on wire rack for 10 minutes.Remove loves from pan and let cool completely, about 1 hour.
