Ingredients For eggnog steel cut oats with fruit and nuts

  • 4 c
    water or milk
  • 1 c
    steel cut oats
  • 1/4 c
    sweetened dried cranberries or fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 c
    raisins
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1 - 2 Tbsp
    brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1/4 c
    almonds, slivered or chopped pecans
  • 1 tsp
    sea salt
  • 1/4 c
    refrigerated eggnog
  • a banana would be another great option to add to this oatmeal

    Steel cut oats and raisins

    Cook your Steel cut oats for 25 minutes. Add in your cranberries and raisins while cooking oats along with butter.

    Add your eggnog and almonds when finished cooking and season to taste with salt. Also taste to see if you want the brown sugar in too. Because of the eggnog it is already sweet, so add to your desired sweetness.
