Ingredients For dutch apple rings

  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 2
    apples, peeled and cored - sliced 1/4" thick
  • 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • 1
    egg
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    powdered sugar
  • oil for frying

How To Make dutch apple rings

  • 1
    Peel and core apples and slice into rings. Apple rings should be sliced 1/4 inch thick.

    Mix together sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples.

    Mix together flour, milk, egg, baking powder and salt - adding additional milk if too thick.

    Dredge apple rings in batter coating both sides and fry in a cast iron skillet -turning when first side is golden brown. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
