Ingredients For apple soup

  • 3 md
    apples, granny smith or a mixture of sweet and tart) cored, peeled and chopped
  • 2 c
    apple cider
  • 1 c
    water
  • 1 tsp
    lemon peel
  • 1/8 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make apple soup

  • 1
    place all ingredients into large sauce pan and cook until apples are mushy, about 40-45 minutes
  • 2
    remove from heat and puree in blender at low speed until smooth
  • 3
    Serve hot with a swirl of whipped cream or vanilla yogurt.
