This is as easy as store bought french toast, but all the healthy ingredients of homemade. I've been making this since the boys were little, all they had to do was pop this in the toaster and bam breakfast was on the table or in had to eat on the mile walk to the bus stop.

1/2 tspground cinnamon

How To Make texas french toast

1In a shallow bowl beat together eggs, milk, sugar, vanillaand cinnamon and nutmeg. Dip bread slices into egg mixture, coating both sides.

2In a skillet or on a griddle melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat; add half of the bread slices and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Repeat with remaining butter and bread slices. Serve warm.

3TO FREEZE: place french toast on waxed paper on cookie sheets and place in freezer, when frozen transfer to zip lock freezer bags and when ready to eat place in toaster. I usually triple or more this recipe.
