Ingredients For simple eggs a la king

  • 1/2 c
    chopped celery
  • 1/4 c
    chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 c
    onion, chopped fine
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 4 lg
    eggs, hard boiled
  • 1 can
    (10-3/4 oz.) condensed cream of celery soup
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 c
    diced velveeta cheese
  • 1/4 c
    pimiento-stuffed green olives, sliced
  • 4 slice
    bread, toasted

How To Make simple eggs a la king

    In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, cook celery, green pepper and onion in oil, until tender, about fifteen minutes. Meanwhile, hard-boil 4 eggs; peel and chop and set aside.

    Into the vegetable mixture, add the soup, the milk, and the Velveeta cubes. Heat and stir until cheese melts.

    Add the chopped eggs and olive slices. Mix well and heat. Spoon over hot buttered toast, and accompany it with some sliced banana and a glass of orange juice for a healthy breakfast.
