May sound silly...but I love these sandwiches! Please try them you might be surprised.. they are really good! Fried egg(2),sliced sweet onions WALLA WALLAS naturally..have arrived at our stores this $1.69 a pound.. and worth every penny!! I use Russian Rye bread, not toasted, and a smidgen of mayo and horsie sauce! YUMMY!! Nancy. 6/22/13

Ingredients For quickie horsie egg & sweet onion sandwich

  • 2 md
    eggs
  • 1 lg
    sweet onion...thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp
    mayo
  • 2 slice
    russian rye bread......your choice
  • a dash
    salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp
    horsie sauce.. (horseradish).. optional

How To Make quickie horsie egg & sweet onion sandwich

    Slice you sweet onions to the thickness you prefer. Mix the mayo and Horsie sauce together. Fry one or two eggs, keep the yellow a little soft and sorta runny. Swab both sides of the bread (your choice of bread) with the sauce, layer the onions on one slice then the fried eggs, salt & pepper. Top with the other slice of bread. Toast bread if you want. Pat down a little ..so the yellow runs a little into the onions.Then cut in half..eat & enjoy.
