Many men need to know precisely how to make a hard boiled egg. If they have an electric cook top, this is for them. I used a timer and marked each each with a number, then took them out at various times to find which was the best, and what the range of time you have is before the egg gets over cooked.

How To Make hard boiled egg - the exact recipe
-
1Fill a pot with cold water and put 7 eggs in, cover, then place on an Electric Cook Top (mine was Kenmore). Turn on to high for exactly 6 minutes, 40 seconds.
-
2Turn dial down to low, and let cook for 1 minute, 20 seconds, so you're at 8 minutes total.
-
3Turn the stove off, uncover the pot, and let eggs sit for 8 minutes in the water. The result is what you see in the photo. If you only cook for 7 minutes, it will be somewhat soft-boiled. Do not go past 10 minutes in this step, or the egg white will start to disintegrate. Put in cold water for 10 minutes to cool down before peeling shell. So, the total time from cold water to finished product is 16 minutes.
