Since I usually do a lot of skillet type meals, I thought I would try to take on a Denver omelette in a skillet. I think it turned out great! My husband thought so, too. The milk made it fluffy.

Ingredients For denver omelette skillet dinner

  • 1/2 md
    red bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 md
    green bell pepper, diced
  • 1/4 c
    sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 md
    yellow onion
  • canola oil
  • 10 lg
    eggs
  • milk
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 tsp
    parsley flakes
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    Mexican blend shredded cheese

How To Make denver omelette skillet dinner

    In a large bowl, add diced peppers, mushrooms and onions.

    In a large skillet on medium/high heat, add canola oil to coat the bottom.

    Crack the eggs into a big bowl and whisk. Add in a splash of milk. Sprinkle in garlic powder, parsley, and salt. Whisk until everything is combined.

    Pour scrambled eggs into a heated skillet. Do not stir. Place a lid on top to let it cook. Be patient, and keep a watch on your skillet.

    Check after about 8 to 10 minutes to see if eggs have been cooked thoroughly. Lower heat, and add shredded cheese.

    Replace lid to melt cheese. Serve and enjoy.
