This os a very fun recipe for the family. I have used this dough so many ways and never thought until recently I could use it for my favorite meal of the day, breaskfast. Since we, being me and my three daughters have created a very tasty breakfast pizza that is sure to please. While it is not the easiest or fastest recipe... it is one of oour all-time favorites and the fruits of your labor will result in many smiling faces!!!

Ingredients For breakfast focaccia bread pizza

  • 1 Tbsp
    granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    active dry yeast
  • 12oz fl
    lukewarm water
  • 1lb 2oz
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 3 oz
    fine chopped onion
  • 1/2 oz
    olive oil, extra virgin
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh crushed rosemary
  • PIZZA TOPPING
  • 4
    eggs lightly beaten and scrambled
  • 2
    roma tomatoes diced
  • 16 oz
    breakfast sausage (browned)
  • 1 sm
    onion cut into thin strips
  • 2
    bell peppers of your choice color juleinned
  • crumbled feta cheese to your taste

How To Make breakfast focaccia bread pizza

  • 1
    combine the sugar,yeast, and water. Stir to dissolve the yeast. Place in mixer fitted with a dough hook. add flour 4 oz at a time
  • 2
    add 1 1/2 tsp of the salt and the onion. continue to mix until it becomes smooth.

    Place dough in an oiled bowl, cover and ferment until doubled.

    Punch down the dough and flatten on an oiled sheet pan to about 1 inch thick. Brush with olive oil. Let dough proof another 15 minutes or until it doubles approximately.

    Sprinkle with rosemary and remaining salt and blind bake on 400 degrees for 10 minutes.

    Place topping mix on crust and bake an additional 10 minutes. Serve *** See Step 8

    While the dough is rising, brown teh sausage with the onion and pappers. Drain off fat

    when dough is blind baked, spread topping mixture onto crust, spread tomatoes over topping, and finally spread Cheese throughout and finish baking. ** See Step ^
