This is a quick and easy breakfast sausage patty. You can add more crushed red pepper if you like,I'm making this for company,if it was just for my family,I'd add a full teaspoon or more,we love spicy! you can fry a small amount and taste it for seasoning before you make the patties. I used 80/20 pork and the patties did not stick,if you use leaner,you may need to cook patties using Pam.

Ingredients For leanne's breakfast sausage

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 t. salt
  • 1/2 t. black pepper
  • 1/2 t. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 t. rubbed sage
  • 2 t. garlic powder

How To Make leanne's breakfast sausage

  • 1
    Stir pork to loosen,add remaining ingredients. Stir well. Form patties using 1/4 c measuring cup,flatten to about 1/4 inch. Fry in cast iron skillet.
