My father-in-law has a pear tree in his yard and brought me over a garbage sack of ripe pears one day. I found this recipe in an old recipe book my mother had. I gave away and froze the remaining bread for another day! Great with coffee in the morning or an afternoon snack!

Ingredients For pear bread

1 cfresh or canned pears

1/2 coil

1 csugar

2eggs

1/4 csour cream

1 tspvanilla extract

2 call purpose flour

1/2 tspsalt

1 tspbaking soda

1/4 tspcinnamon

1/4 tspnutmeg

1/2 cnuts, chopped
How To Make pear bread

1Beat oil and sugar until well blended. Beat in aggs, one at a time. Add sour cream and vanilla.

2Sift together flour, Salt, soda, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add to wet mixture. Beat until well blended. Fold in pears and nuts.

3Spoon into a 9x5 inch loaf pan

4Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then turn out and cool on rack.
