Ingredients For overnight chile eggs

  • 8
    eggs
  • 6 slice
    bread, crust removed, cut into 1/2 inch squares
  • 4 Tbsp
    butter, cut into 1/4" squares
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 2 c
    green chilies (chopped)
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 1/2 c
    monterey jack cheese

How To Make overnight chile eggs

  • 1
    In a large bowl, beat the eggs slightly. Add the bread, butter, milk, chilies, grated cheese, salt and pepper. Mix together and pour into a large rectangular baking pan that has been well greased.

    Refrigerate covered overnight. Bake, uncovered in a 300 degree oven for 1 hour, until puffed and golden brown.
