3 corange juice,divided

1/2 cheavy cream

2 lgeggs

1 tspcinnamon

1/2 tspnutmeg

9 slicetexas toast

3 Tbspbutter

2 Tbspcorn starch

1 pinchsalt

2 Tbspbutter melted

powdered sugar for dusting

fresh mint for garnish

1sliced orange,reserve peel for garnish

How To Make orange french toast with orange sauce

1In large bowl,combine 1 cup orange juice,heavy cream, eggs,cinnamon,1/4 cup sugar and nutmeg.Soak bread slices in mixture until saturated.In large skillet heat olive oil and butter.Fry bread slices in skillet on both sides until golden brown.Cut into triangles.

2To make sauce: In small bowl combine cornstarch,one teaspoon water and stir to make a paste.In large sauce pan combine remaining 2 cups orange juice,2 cups water,, salt,corn starch paste and remaining 2 Tablespoons sugar.Heat and add melted butter,heat until sauce is a little thicker than syrup.Keep warm until serving.

3To serve: Place three French toast triangles on each plate.Pour 1 Tablespoon sauce over toast and sprinkle with powdered sugar.Place mint and orange slices in center of French toast.Garnish with a twist of orange peel.
