There is nothing better to me than a good breakfast casserole. It's so nice to wake in the morning, and pop this in the oven..can't get any easier than that....Enjoy!

Ingredients For morning strata

1 lbroll sausage, i use bob evans spicy sausage

8eggs

10 slicebread, cut into cubes (about 10 cups) i use french bread

3 cmilk

2 cshredded cheddar cheese

2 csliced fresh mushrooms

1/4 conions, chopped

1 - 10 ozpackage frozen cut asparagus, thawed and drained

2 Tbspall purpose flour
-
2 Tbspbutter, melted

1 Tbspdry mustard

2 tspdried basil leaves
-
1 tspsalt
How To Make morning strata

1Crumble sausage and onion in large skillet. Cook over medium heat until browned, stirring occasionally. Drain off any drippings. Whisk eggs in large bowl. Add sausage and remaining ingredients; mix well.

2Spoon into greased 13 x 9 inch baking dish. Cover; refrigerate 8 hours or overnight.

3Preheat oven to 350 F. Bake 60 to 70 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting into squares; serve hot.
