Ingredients For holiday breakfast casserole

  • 4 slices bread, crusts removed
  • 1 lb. breakfast sausage
  • 1 cup shredded mild cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • chopped fresh parsley

How To Make holiday breakfast casserole

  • 1
    Cut bread into triangles and arrange over bottom of greased 9 x 13 inch baking pan. Brown the sausage in a skillet, stirring until crumbly; drain. Sprinkle sausage over bread and top with the cheese. Beat the eggs, milk, salt and pepper in mixing bowl until blended. Pour egg mixture over the prepared layers and sprinkle with parsley. Chill, covered, for 8 to 10 hours. Bake at 350 for 35 to 40 minutes or until set. Serves 6 to 8
