8 cfrench bread, torn into 1 inch pieces

1 pkg8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened

1/2 cdried cranberries

6eggs
-
2 1/4 cmilk

1/3 cmaple syrup

1/2 tspground cinnamon
- ORANGE SAUCE
-
4 tspcornstarch
-
1 Tbspsugar
-
1 1/4 corange juice
-
1/2 cchopped dried cranberries

1 Tbspbutter
How To Make cranberry french bread breakfast/brunch casserole

1Butter a 2-qt. rectangular casserole dish. Arrange half of the bread in a single layer.

2Slice the cream cheese into 1/2 inch slices. Arrange slices on top of bread and then sprinkle with dried cranberries. Top with remaining bread.

3In a medium bowl, beat eggs, milk, and maple syrup. Pour over bread. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Press bread lightly with the back of a large wooden spoon to coat with egg mixture. Cover and chill for at least 8 hours or overnight.

4Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Bake, covered, in the preheated oven for 45 minutes. Uncover and bake 20 additional minutes. Let casserole stand for 10 minutes before serving.

5Meanwhile prepare the Orange sauce. In a small saucepan, combine 4 tsp. cornstarch and 1 tbsp. sugar. Stir in 1 1/4 cups orange juice.

6Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly. Add 1/2 cup chopped dried cranberries and 1 tbsp. butter. Cook and stir 2 minutes longer. Serve warm.
