We were introduced to this recipe by my husband's mom. She got this from a quilt group recipe book. She added veggies to this to use them up and the veggies are a great addition. She has used broccoli, asparagus or any other left over vegetable. It is great to fix the night before when you have a large crowd for the holidays and throw in the oven the next morning for fantastic warm very tasty breakfast.

Ingredients For cheesy egg breakfast casserole

  • 6
    eggs
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 1 lb
    sausage
  • 1/8 tsp
    sage
  • 1/8 tsp
    basil
  • 1/2 tsp
    yellow mustard
  • 1/2 c
    mushrooms
  • 1 c
    mozzarella cheese
  • 1 c
    cheddar cheese
  • 5 slice
    bread dried and cubed
  • 1 c
    your choice of veggies

How To Make cheesy egg breakfast casserole

    Brown and drain sausage. Put in ungreased baking dish. Mix other ingredients in bowl. Pour the other ingredients over sausage. Refrigerate over night. Bake uncovered at 375° for 45 minutes.
