My sister calls this" Chilies Rellenos" I just call it good eatin'. Men love this hearty breakfast.Great to make the night before.

Ingredients For breakfast of champions-chilies rellenos-

  • 4 slice
    white bread,crust removed
  • 2 c
    sharp cheddar cheese,shredded
  • 2 c
    monterey jack cheese, shredded
  • 8 oz
    can green chilies, minced
  • 6
    eggs
  • 2 c
    milk
  • 2 tsp
    paprika
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground oregano
  • 1/2 tsp
    pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp
    dry mustard

How To Make breakfast of champions-chilies rellenos-

    Remove crusts from bread,if desired and butter on one side. Place buttered side down in a 7x11-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with Cheddar cheese, then with Monterey Jack. Spread chilies evenly over cheese. Beat eggs, add milk and all seasonings, Pour evenly over cheese. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight. Bake in 325^ oven for 50 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
