I like to put the ingredients together the night before and bake it in the morning while I am taking my walk. When I get home...breakfast is done and the house smells magnificent!

Ingredients For nonna rosa's breakfast casserole

6 lgeggs

1 cmilk
-
1/4 ceach- red, yellow, green peppers (diced)

1/4 cham/bacon/ or sausage cooked ( bite size pieces)

1/2 ccheese, shredded (cheddar)

3 slicesour dough bread (torn to small pieces)

2 Tbspchopped onion
-
1/4 csliced fresh mushrooms

salt and pepper to taste
How To Make nonna rosa's breakfast casserole

1Butter a 8x8 baking dish. Do not preheat oven

2Line bottom of baking dish with torn sourdough bread. Mix all other ingredients in bowl and pour over torn sour dough bread. (...this can now be covered and kept in the refrigerator overnight if desired...)

3Salt and Pepper top just before baking. (I like to use large cracked black pepper). Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes until casserole is set and cheese is lightly browned. Enjoy!
