2 slicelean bacon

1 pkgactive dry yeast

1/4 cwarm water (105 to 115 degree f)

3/4 cwarm milk ( 105-115 degrees farenheit)

1 1/4 cshredded sharp cheddar cheese (5oz )

1/3 cfinely chopped onion
-
1/3 cchopped red bell pepper
-
2 Tbspgranulated sugar
-
2 Tbspdill seeds
-
1 tspsalt
-
1 lgegg, lightly beaten

2 1/2 call-purpose flour
-
1 Tbspbutter, melted
How To Make bacon and cheddar casserole bread

1Cook bacon ina skillet over medium heat until crisp, 8 to 10 minutes. Drain on a paper towel and crumble . set aside.

2Meanwhile, in a small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand until foamy, 5 to 10 minutes.

3Mix together milk, cheese, bacon, onion bell pepper, sugar, dill, alt, and egg until blended.

4Stir yeast mixture into cheese mixture. Stir in flour, 1/2 cup at a time, until a stiff dough forms.

5place dough in a large greased bowl, turning to coat. Cover loosely with a damp cloth; let rise in a warm place until doubled, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.

6Grease a 2 quart round casserole dish. Punch down dough. place in prepared casserole. cover loosely with damp cloth let rise in a warm place until doubled, 50 to 60 minutes.

7Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake bread until it is golden, 45 minutes. Transfer casserole to a wire rack to cool slightly.

8While bread is still hot , brush with melted butter. Turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely
