strawberry buckle

This was a redo from an old blueberry buckle recipe from my mother's days. I took out a few ingredients and added a a few more (plus one) I hope you like it.

Ingredients For strawberry buckle

  • IN A LARGE BOWL BEAT TOGETHER
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 1/2 c
    (1 stick) very soft butter
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    baking podwer
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1/4 c
    milk
  • THEN ADD
  • 1 c
    flour
  • BLEND WELL. AND PUT IN THE BOTTOM OF THE SPRAYED BAKING DISH AND SMOOTH OUT. ARRANGE THE FOLLOWING IN THE ORDER GIVEN
  • 2/3 lb
    strawberries, stemmed and sliced
  • 2/3 c
    strawberry jam or strawberry glaze (mine was a combo)
  • NEXT MIX TOGETHER IN SMALL BOWL AND SPRINKLE OVER THE STAWBERRY MIXTURE
  • 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    melted butter

How To Make strawberry buckle

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an oblong baking dish.

    After following the directions above put into the oven for 45-50 minutes.

    serve warm with ice cream or as a side for a brunch
