This is a wonderful recipe I got from my friend in Frankenmuth, Michigan' when I last visited there , about 4 years ago. Kids love these; can be dipped in Maple syrup or other flavor syrup! (as a nanny I can attest to this)

Ingredients For waffle fingers

  • 4 lg
    frozen or fresh waffles
  • 5 Tbsp
    unsalted butter
  • 8 Tbsp
    granulated sugar
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp
    ground cinnamon

How To Make waffle fingers

    Cut each waffle into about 8 strips. Melt the butter with the sugar and cinnamon in a medium skillet(fry about 8 strips per batch; over medium heat. add the waffle sticks and cook, turning often, until caramelized and crisp, about 2 to 3 minutes per batch.

    These are great dipped in: Marshmallow dip: 1 jar marshmallow creme 1/2 c. heavy cream Combine in blender and pulse until well blended.
