tina's oatmeal beer bread

I like the simplicity of beer bread and this is just a bit better. I have used white sugar, light brown sugar and dark brown sugar. All are good and especially good toasted the next day with honey and butter.

  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/2 c
    oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1/4 c
    brown or white sugar
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 12 oz
    beer
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted

How To Make tina's oatmeal beer bread

    In a bowl blend flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.

    toss in oatmeal and mix.
  • 3
    pour beer into dry ingredients. Pour into a greased loaf pan. pour butter over bread and sprinkle with a bit of raw oatmeal. Bake 375 degrees for 1 hour. Great toasted the next morning.
