This is my favorite cranberry bread recipe. It is tart and sweet at the same time. This recipe makes the the bread so moist. It freezes well!

1/3 corange juice

1 Tbsporange zest

2/3 cbuttermilk

6 Tbspunsalted butter

1 lgegg beaten lightly

2 cun-bleached flour

1 cgranulated sugar

1 tspsalt

1 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspbaking soda

1 1/2 cfresh cranberries chopped coarse

1/2 cwalnuts, chopped coarse
How To Make the best cranberry walnut bread

1Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees and prepare a loaf pan for baking. My favorite is a stoneware loaf pan sprayed with PAM baking spray.

2Stir, the orange juice, orange zest, buttermilk, melted butter and egg together in a bowl.

3Whisk together all dry ingredients. Add the liquids, blending together.

4Add chopped cranberries and walnuts, stirring until well mixed.

5Bake for 20 minutes, then reduce the heat to 350 degrees and bake for another 30 to 35 minutes.
