My mother cut this out of a newspapere in Hawaii. There were a lot of tea rooms and this is probably an old recipe.

Ingredients For tea room carrot bread

  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 c
    nuts, chopped
  • 1 c
    oil
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2 c
    carrot, grated
  • 3
    eggs

How To Make tea room carrot bread

  • 1
    Sift flour, soda, cinnamon, and salt. Make a well in the mixing bowl with the ingredients.

    Add nuts, oil,vanilla, sugar, and carrots. Mix well.

    Pour into a greased loaf pan. Let stand 30 minutes before baking.

    Bake at 350 degrees for one hour.

    Optional ingredients: 1 C raisins or 1/2 c coconut and 1/2 c raisins Add with the nuts, oil, vanilla, sugar, and carrots.
