I have made this for years to share with friends, coworkers or even a treat for the fire station. It's nice because it makes to beautiful loaves. I sometimes use lemon juice and zest in place of orange and walnuts in place of pecans. This is a very adaptable recipe.

1 pkgreduced-fat cream cheese

1/2 cbutter, softened

1 1/2 csugar

2eggs
-
1 1/2 cmashed ripe bananas aprox 3 medium

1/2 tspvanilla extract

3 call purpose flour
-
1/2 tspbaking powder
-
1/2 tspbaking soda
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1 cpecans, seperated
- GLAZE
-
1 cconfectioners' sugar

3 Tbsporange juice
-
1 tsporange zest

1In a large bowl with mixer paddle beat cream cheese,butter and sugar untill blended. Add eggs one at a time beating well after each. Add bananas and vanilla, beat until creamy. Combine flour, b.powder, b.soda and salt: gradually add to creamed mixture juste untill moist. Fold in 1/2 c. nuts.

2Transfer into two 8x4 in. loaf pans coated with cooking spray. Cover with remaining nuts. Bake for 55-60 min at 350 until a knife comes out clean.

3In a small bouwl, mix the glaze ingredients: drizzle over loaves. Cool for 10-15 min. before removing from pans to wire tack to cool. Makes 2 loaves (10-12 slices each)
