The richest, moistest and most flavorful recipe I have tried.. worth the efforts. Kids LOVE this. This freezes well also. Last 2 loaves I wrapped one in foil after removing from the pan. A month later thawed and it was still just as moist and yummy.

Ingredients For succulent banana bread

  • 1 2/3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    + 2 tbls. sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1/2 c
    oil
  • 3 1/2
    large very ripe bananas , mashed
  • 2 Tbsp
    creme fraiche or sour cream
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2/3 c
    walnuts, pecans , other nut of choice

How To Make succulent banana bread

    preheat oven 350 F . Grease bottom of pan or line with parchment papater
  • 2
    sift together.. flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt
  • 3
    beat sugar and eggs with whisk until light and fluffy (10 minutes ) should be smooth and glossy
  • 4
    drizzle oil into sugar / egg mix , whisk well..then add mashed banana, creme fraiche and vanilla. fold in dry ingredients and nuts . Pour into prepared loaf pan and bake for 45 - 1 hour
