strawberry bread

This recipe, which comes from my mother, calls for a total of 20 ounces of strawberries, but since that's hard to find, I usually use 24 ounces. Besides, it makes the bread extra moist, giving it a cake-like texture. :)

Ingredients For strawberry bread

  • 3 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    ground cinnamon
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 3
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 c
    vegetable oil
  • 2
    10-ounce packages frozen sliced strawberries, thawed

How To Make strawberry bread

  • 1
    Combine first 5 ingredients; mix well. Combine eggs, oil, and strawberries; add to dry ingredients, mixing well.

    Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 9- x 5- x 3-inch loafpans. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
