Ingredients For snickedoodle banana bread

  • 1 Tbsp
    butter, softened
  • 1/2 tsp
    flour
  • 3 lg
    over ripe bananas
  • FOR THE FILLING:
  • 1/2 c
    butter, melted
  • 1/4 c
    buttermilk
  • 2
    eggs, beaten
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    mini cinnamon chips
  • FOR THE TOPPING:
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon

How To Make snickedoodle banana bread

    Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with the tablespoon softened butter.

    Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon flour over the bottom, then top until the flour is evenly and finely coating the bottom and a little bit on the sides.

    Mash the bananas with a fork in a medium-large mixing bowl.

    Whisk butter into the mashed bananas until completely incorporated.

    Beat in the eggs, then mix in the sugar and vanilla.

    Sprinkle the baking powder, soda and salt over the mixture and stir to combine.

    Add the flour and stir until half mixed, then add cinnamon chips last mixing just until combined.

    Pour mixture into prepared pan. Mix the topping ingredients in a small bowl and sprinkle over the top.

    Bake for 1 hour. Turn out onto a cooking rack,right side up.
