1/2 cspecial k cereal

1/4 cchopped nuts

1/4 cbrown sugar--firmly packed

1/4 tspground cinnamon

1 Tbspmargarine or butter--softened

1 -1/2 cspecial k cereal

1 call purpose flour
-
1/2 tspbaking powder
-
1/2 tspbaking soda
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
1/2 tspground cinnamon

1/2 csugar
-
1/2 cbuttermilk
-
1/3 cshortening
-
1egg
How To Make save-a-day coffeecake

1Combine first 5 ingredients in small bowl, mixing until crumbly. Cover tightly and store overnight for topping.

2Stir together the 1-1/2 cups cereal, flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon and sugar in large mixing bowl. Add buttermilk, shortening and egg. Beat until well combined. Spread batter evenly in greased 9x9x2 baking pan. Cover tightly. Refrigerate overnight.

3Morning--Remove pan from refrigerator. Uncover and sprinkle topping over batter. (first 5 Ingredients)

4Bake in oven at 350* about 25 min. or until tests done. Cool 5 min. before serving
