This is a beloved recipe of my Grandmother,a fast easy bread to make in a pinch for breakfast, for gift or whatever your occasion. My kids love it & ask for it often dress it up with blue berries or dried cranberries.

Ingredients For quick orange bread

3/4 corange juice, fresh you can use bottled of course

2 Tbspgrated orange rinds, i use candied

2 Tbspbutter melted

1 csugar
-
1/2 cdates, chopped or dried cranberries (optional)

1egg beaten
-
2 cflour
-
1/2 tspbaking soda
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1 tspbaking powder
-
1/2 cchopped nuts
How To Make quick orange bread

1Stir ingredients in order given, sift flour, salt, baking powder & baking soda for smoother stirring.

2Bake in greased loaf pan, in 325 oven 45 minutes or until golden & set. Makes one large loaf or 2 smaller loaves
