I've been baking for many years now, and have been working on finding the best possible pumpkin bread recipes I could. This is it! It's nice and moist with lots of spices. If you can't handle the amount of spice I've used, feel free to dial it back to your liking.

How To Make pumpkin bread
-
1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
-
2Grease your loaf pan with butter or other grease of your choice, and set aside.
-
3In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, and spices. Set aside.
-
4In a large bowl, combine 1 cup brown sugar, pumpkin, eggs, water, sour cream, and oil together. Mix well.
-
5Slowly add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until blended. Be careful not to over mix. Pour into greased loaf pan and bake for 70 minutes or until cooked through (may take an additional 5-10 minutes depending on your oven).
-
6When loaf is almost done cooking, prepare caramel sauce (if desired) by whisking 1/4 c brown sugar, butter, and heavy cream in a sauce pan on medium heat. Once sauce begins to simmer, cook for 1 more minute or until the sauce slightly thickens.
-
7Once pumpkin loaf is cooked through, let cool, then remove from pan. Drizzle the loaf with caramel sauce and (if desired) sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
-
8NOTES: If you aren't a fan of caramel, that's fine! You can easily spread the bread with some cream cheese frosting, or even just leave it plain and spread with a bit of softened butter while its still warm! Any and all ways are just delicious. :)
