I got this recipe from my friend's grandmother Ginevra Sullivan in Amarillo, TX during the 1970s. I use it when I have freckled bananas. Mrs. Sullivan always called it "cake". I call it yummalicious!

Ingredients For nana's nana cake or bread

2 1/4 csugar

1 cchopped pecans

1 1/2 cmashed bananas or crushed pineapple (not both)

3eggs

1 pinchsalt

3/4 cbutter or margarine

3/4 cbuttermilk

1 1/2 tspsoda

1 1/2 tspvanilla extract

3 cflour
How To Make nana's nana cake or bread

1Cream butter, sugar and eggs; add remaining ingredients and mix well. Bake at 350° for about 30 minutes (longer if a loaf or bundt pan). Makes 3 layers or 2 loaves or 1 bundt pan. Test with toothpick to be sure center comes out clean. Freezes well.
