Ingredients For persimmon bread

  • 1 c
    persimmon pulp
  • 1 c
    brown sugar
  • 1
    egg
  • 2 Tbsp
    oil
  • 2 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    raisins
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/4 c
    candied orange peel
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts

How To Make persimmon bread

  • 1
    Combine pulp, sugar, egg, & oil; blend well.
  • 2
    Dust raisins with some of the flour. Sift remaining flour flour with baking powder, soda, & salt; add to creamed mixture
  • 3
    Add raisins, vanilla, orange peel, & nuts.

    Bake in a 9"x5" loaf pan for 45 minutes to 1 hour at 350.
