This is so good! We have so many pears this time of year everything is made with pears! This is my favorite. They freeze well and we have pear bread til next year.

Ingredients For pear bread

1/2 c. brown sugar

1/2 c. veggie oil

2 eggs

1/2 c. sugar

1/4 c. sour cream
-
1 tsp. vanilla

2 c. flour
-
1/2 tsp. salt
-
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
-
1/2 tsp. baking soda
-
1/4 tsp. cardamom
-
1-1/2 c. peeled, cored, chopped or diced pears
-
1/2 tsp. lemon zest
-
2/3 c. chopped nuts (i use pecans but any other will do.) optional
How To Make pear bread

1Blend first 6 ingredients together in medium bowl. Mix next 5 ingredients in smaller bowl. Combine the 2 bowls and mix well.

2Fold in pears, lemon zest and nuts.

3Put into greased pan(s). Bake@ 335 degrees. 50-65 minutes for 3 small loaves or 65-75 minutes for 1 large loaf pan. Cool and remove from pan(s).
