Ingredients For peanut butter 'n' banana bread

2 1/2 call purpose flour

1/2 cgranulated sugar

1/2 cpacked brown sugar

1 Tbspbaking powder

3/4 tspsalt

1/4 tspcinnamon, ground

2 lgripe bananas, mashed (1 cup)

1 cmilk
-
3/4 cchunky peanut butter

3 Tbspcooking oil
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
1egg, slightly beaten
-
1 pkg(6 oz.) milk chocolate pieces (1 cup)

1recipe peanut butter frosting
- PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING
-
3 Tbspchunky peanut butter
-
2 Tbspbutter
-
1 cpowdered sugar
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
1 Tbspmilk
How To Make peanut butter 'n' banana bread

1FOR THE BREAD: In a large mixing bowl stir together flour, sugars, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. In another bowl, combine mashed bananas, milk, peanut butter, oil, vanilla, and egg. Add to flour mixture, stirring just till combined. Stir in chocolate pieces.

2Pour batter into two greased 8x4x2-inch loaf pans. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 50 to 55 minutes or till wooden toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool in pans for 10 minutes.

3Remove from pans; cool thoroughly on a wire rack. Wrap and store overnight before serving. To serve, frost with Peanut Butter Frosting. If desired, top with crushed peanuts and miniature semisweet chocolate pieces. Slice to serve.

4FOR THE FROSTING: In a small saucepan melt 3 Tbsp. chunky peanut butter and 2 Tbsp. butter. Remove from heat; stir in 1 cup powdered sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla. Stir in 1 Tbsp. milk. Add more milk, if necessary, till of spreading consistency. Makes about 1/2 cup.
