I love a peanut butter and banana sandwich and this bread takes that flavor to the next level. Good enough to serve as a dessert or fantastic with an ice cold glass of milk for an after school snack! So good!

How To Make peanut butter banana bread

  • 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • 2
Grease and flour two 8x4 inch loaf pans.
  • 3
To make the bread, mix the peanut butter with the bananas, sugar, and eggs in a large mixing bowl and slowly add in the melted butter. Then beat in the sour cream and vanilla extract.
  • 4
In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • 5
Fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just mixed.
  • 6
Divide between the two prepared loaf pans.
  • 7
Bake for 50-60 minutes at 325 degrees F or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted into the center.
  • 8
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes then turn out onto rack to finish cooling.
  • 9
Meanwhile, make the glaze. Beat together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, salt, and milk until a smooth icing is formed.
  • 10
When the breads are completely cooled, place them onto individual plates and divide the icing between each loaf, pouring over the tops of each until both are completely covered.
  • 11
When icing has set, slice and enjoy!
