This bread is a show stopper at your next holiday meal. It’s slightly sweet with honey and sugar.a little work but worth the effort

Ingredients For paska bread

  • 8 1/2 c
    flour
  • 4
    eggs room temp
  • 1/2c+1tbs c
    sugar
  • 2pks
    active dry yeast
  • 1 Tbsp
    salt
  • 1 c
    honey
  • 2c+1/2c c
    milk room temp
  • 3 stick
    butter, room temperature

How To Make paska bread

  • 1
    Mix yeast with warm milk and 1tbs sugar until foams. Set aside
  • 2
    Mix 3 eggs,sugar,milk,honey and butter ad flour sift with salt half at a time. You may need to ad more flour if to liquidity. Kneed on floured surface 10 min adding flour as necessary .

    Place dough in lrg bowl greased with oil. Cover. let rise 2 times in a warm spot. Punch down dough after 1st rise

    set aside 1/4 dough . Grease 9in round pan. Place dough in pan. Use remaining dough to braid in circles over existing dough.Use remaining egg. Beat egg,Brush with egg wash. Set aside to rise again 1/2 hrs. Bake at 350 for - hr.
