Ma made some very wonderful food, and although through the years I have opted to make different banana breads than this, it is still a favorite! Now that she has passed away, what I wouldn't give to walk into her house and have some of it waiting! When I found her recipe file in NC in 2019, this was listed as Rosie's Banana Bread. Wonder who Rosie was?

Ingredients For ma's banana bread

  • 1/2 c
    chopped nuts
  • 1 c
    mashed bananas
  • 1 1/2 c
    sifted flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 c
    margarine
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 2
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream

    Bake at 350 degrees about 1 hour.
