I have been making this bread for over 35 years for St. Patrick's Day. It is a cross between a cake and bread, moist and delicious. I leave it out most of the day and wrap it in plastic and put in refigerator, or freeze some...Enjoy with butter..

4 cunbleached flour

1 csugar

4 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspsalt

2eggs
-
2 cbuttermilk

1 cdark rasins
How To Make irish soda bread

1Sift dry ingredients together 3 times.(trust me it's worth it)

2Add the eggs beaten, 2 cups of buttermilk. Mix well Add the raisins.

3use a 10 inch cake pan or skillet. I use pam spray. Pour batter into pan , It will be thick. Make a large cross on top of loaf. set oven to 350.
