Every year we took the kids to pick out there pumpkin to carve. I always picked out one special to cook and use for my favorite recipes. Pumpkin bread was the favorite of my family.

Ingredients For indiana pumpkin bread

1 lbprepared pumpkin (canned is fine)

3 csugar

1 ccorn oil
-
4eggs
-
3 1/2 call purpose flour
-
1 tspbaking powder
-
1 tspcinnamon, ground
-
1/2 tspground cloves
-
2 tspbaking soda
-
2 tspsalt
-
1 tspallspice, ground
-
1 tspnutmeg
-
2/3 cwater
How To Make indiana pumpkin bread

1For best results use Large bowel and wooden spoon. (not Mixer). Prepare 3-4 loaf pans by generously greasing and flouring. Preheat oven to 350.

2Combine sugar, oil, eggs. and pumpkin. Mix well.

3Sift all dry ingredients and add to the pumpkin mixture all at once and mix well.

4Add water and mix again.

5Divide pumpkin bread into the 3-4 pretreated loaf pans.

6Bake at 350 degree oven for 1 hour or till tooth pick comes out clean when inserted in middle. Makes 3-4 loaves.
