Ingredients For harvest loaf

1 cbutter, softened

2 csugar
-
4eggs
-
3 cap flour
-
2 tspbaking soda

1 tspsalt

2 tspcinnamon
-
1 tspnutmeg
-
1/2 tspground ginger
-
1/2 tspground cloves
-
1 1/2 csemi - sweet chocolate chips

1 1/2 cchopped pecans - divided

1 1/2 ccanned pumpkin, not mix
- SPICED GLAZE

1 cconfectioners' sugar
-
1/4 tspcinnamon
-
1/4 tspnutmeg
-
3 Tbspmilk or heavy cream
How To Make harvest loaf

1Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Spray 2 - 9 x 5 loaf pans with non stick cooking spray and then flour.

2In a medium bowl, beat butter until smooth. Add sugar; beat until fluffy. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Sift together dry ingredients; add to butter mixture alternately with pumpkin, ending with flour mixture.

4Stir in chocolate chips and one cup pecans.

5Spoon into pans evenly. Sprinkle with remaining pecans.

6Bake for 65 - 70 minutes, or until pick comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in pans; remove to wire racks.

7Spice glaze: Mix ingredients together until desired consistency is reached.

8Glaze with spice glaze while still warm.
