This is another one of my Grandma's recipes, back in the day when you baked corn bread in cast iron skillets. I also make fried cornbread from this as well and it's quick and easy.

2eggs slightly beaten

1 1/4 cmilk

1/4 cmelted shortening
-
1 1/2 cyellow corn meal
-
3/4 csifted flour
-
1 tspsalt
-
2 Tbspsugar

2 1/2 tspbaking powder
How To Make grandma delleplain corn bread

1Beat eggs and milk and shortening together,
-
2Sift remaining ingredents together, add the egg mixture and beat well.

3Pour into a greased shallow castiron pan and bake in hot oven 400 degrees until it shrinks from the side of pan about 29-25 minutes.
