This recipe is written on a pink piece of cardstock and sooo faded I can barely read it! Also well used. This recipe was handed down by my Grams (Grandma Berry) who was from the Netherlands and Dairy Farmers. She's the one who told us all to use the BEST ingredients. The recipe only has only a list of ingredients and baking time and temp!! I will include directions for you. :)

1 cbrown sugar, light

1/2 cbutter, room temperature

3bananas, ripen (rotten, kids call them!)

2 call-purpose flour, sifted

1 tspsoda

1/4 cmilk, sour (add 1 tsp cider vinegar)

2eggs

Check the doneness of your bread with a toothpick at 55 minutes. Depending on your oven, it could be done a few minutes earlier than an hour.

1Pre-heat oven to 350.

2Mix flour and soda in a bowl; set aside.

3Beat butter and sugar until creamy.

4Add bananas, one at a time, and beat again.

5Mix milk and vinegar in glass measuring cup.

6Add eggs and beat with a fork.

7Add to bananas; stir.

8Add flour mixture; stir.

9Grease and lightly flour large (5x9") loaf pan.

10Pour batter into pan and bake.
