This really is my "go to banana bread recipe". It's a dense, moist bread, oh so good! So easy to put together too. I have also baked this recipe in mini loaf pans too. Turns out great!

Ingredients For go to banana bread

  • 3 lg
    ripe bananas, well mashed
  • 2 lg
    eggs, well beaten
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 c
    walnuts, chopped (optional)

How To Make go to banana bread

  • 1
    Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease your loaf pan.
  • 2
    Mix the mashed bananas and the eggs together in a large bowl. Add the vanilla, and stir.

    Stir in the flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda. If you are adding walnuts, add them now, and blend.

    Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour, or until toothpick comes out clean. *If baking in 3 mini loaf pans, bake for 35 to 40 minutes.

    Remove from pan, and cool on a rack.

    So delicious served warm with butter! This bread stays moist for days, so good with your morning coffee! Enjoy
