Ingredients For french breakfast muffins
- MUFFIN MIX

1/3 cshortening

1/2 cgranulated sugar

1 lgegg
-
1 1/2 call-purpose flour

1 1/2 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspsalt

1/4 tspground nutmeg

1/2 cmilk
- TOPPING
-
1/2 cgranulated sugar

1 tspground cinnamon
-
1/2 cbutter
How To Make french breakfast muffins

1Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease the muffin tins. Mix the shortening, sugar, and egg.

2Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.

3Add in the milk.

4Mix until combined.

5Fill muffin cups 2/3 full.

6Bake 20-25 minutes.

7As the muffins are baking, combine the sugar and cinnamon for the topping and melt the butter.

8Immediately after baking roll the muffins in melted butter.

9Then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mix. Serve hot.
