8 ozcream cheese, at room temperature

1/3 csugar

2eggs

1/2 coil

1/2 cmilk

1 tspgrated lemon rind

2-1/4 cflour

1/3 csugar

1/3 cpacked brown sugar

1 tspbaking soda

1 tspsalt

How To Make cream cheese filled nut bread

1Combine cream cheese, sugar and 1 egg and beat well. Set aside.

2Beat remaining 2 eggs in mixing bowl until frothy. Mix in cooking oil, milk and lemon rind.

3Measure remaining 6 ingredients into a separate bowl. Mix well. Pour all at once into egg-milk mixture. Stir until moistened

4Spoon 1/2 batter into greased 9 X 5 inch loaf pan. Spoon on cheese mixture. Cover with remaining batter by dropping small spoonfuls here and there.

5Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Cool 15 minutes in pan and then cool on rack.
