My mother-in-law made this bread as a special treat and gave every family member a loaf at Christmas.

Ingredients For cinnamon bread
- COMBINE & THEN COOL TO LUKEWARM

1 cmilk (scalded)

1/4 csugar

1/4 cbutter
- DISSOLVE

1 pkgyeast

2 Tbspwarm water

1 tspsugar
- COMBINE MILK MIXTURE & YEAST THEN ADD EGG

4 cflour
- SWIRL MIXTURE:

2 Tbspbrown sugar

2 Tbspsugar

2 tspcinnamon
How To Make cinnamon bread

1Combine milk, sugar and butter in small saucepan and heat until scalded.

2While milk mixture is cooling down, dissolve yeast pkg. in 2 T. warm water with 1 teaspoon sugar.

3In large bowl, combine the cooled milk mixture and yeast mixture.

4Add egg and beat well.

5Add 4 cups flour. Turn out onto lightly floured board. Kneed for 2 minutes.

6Allow dough to rise 15 minutes.

7Roll dough into rectangle about 1/4" thick. Sprinkle swirl mixture evenly on top of rolled dough.

8Roll dough up and turn ends under. Place in a greased loaf pan.

9Let rise 1 hour.

10Bake 40 minutes. Brush the top with melted butter (Optional). Take out of pan and cool on wire rack.
