ciao bella apple bread
(3 ratings)
If you love apples this bread is for you! I have had people fight over the last piece! LOL I ususally make this in the fall when apple picking is in season, but it's a request I get often. You can pretty much use any apples you like but I prefer to use Northern Spy, Jonagold, Jonathan, Honey Crisp, or Pink Lady. Enjoy!

-
2In a large mixing bowl combine apples and 2 cups of sugar; set aside.
-
3Melt butter and let cool.
-
4In a seperate bowl mix flour with baking soda, cinnamon, salt and baking powder; set aside.
-
5Once butter is cooled slightly combine with apples.
-
6Add eggs and vanilla.
-
7Mix flour mixture with apple mixture. Do not over mix or your bread will be tough.
-
8Divide batter evenly among pans. Sprinkle each with remainder 2 teaspoons sugar. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minute to 1 hour and 30 minutes, until toothpick tested in center of bread comes out clean.
